PLaY is currently making a new show about the bizarre and fascinating phenomenon of Real Life Super Heroes - everyday people who take on a new persona and patrol the streets, helping homeless people and clearing up rubbish. You can see some of our early work very soon by coming to two Scratch performances we have lined up during November. The first will take place at Live Theatre in Newcastle on 24 November. The evening will also feature work from one of PLaY's favourite collaborators Kieran Hurley, creator of the great show Hitch, on which we worked as dramaturgs. That's followed on 25 November by an appearance at the Compass Late event, which is part of the Compass Live Art Festival. You can find out more about this superb festival here.
Dick has been busy working with theatre-maker Daniel Bye on The Price of Everything, a performance lecture about how much things cost and how much they're worth. How much is beauty worth? What will people pay for an air guitar on eBay? And can I have a glass of milk please? These urgent questions and many others are answered in a whistlestop tour of bizarre facts and impassioned arguments. The Price of Everything has just finished the autumn leg of its tour and will be on the road again in the spring. You can read more about the show on Dan's website.
